To contribute to the reduction of illiteracy in South Africa;

To demystify and decolonise the world of letters in South Africa;

To bring books to  poor and disadvantaged communities in South Africa;

To bring the world of reading and writing to the poor and marginalised; and

To bring the world of publishing to the poor and marginalised so they can see themselves in the stories written about them.
